Do you deliver and collect?

Yes!  We offer FREE delivery and collection on all hires!

Is there a mileage charge?

We operate a ‘no mileage charge’ policy on all vehicles. However, we have a fair usage policy that is capped at 3000 miles a month.

What driving licence do I need to hire a vehicle?

All hirers must have a valid full licence held for two years or more and be aged between 25 and 75 years old.  A B1 category can be used to drive any vehicle up to 3.5 tonne.  Different categories are required for minibuses (over 9 seats) and vehicles over 3.5 tonne.
We offer a “Young driver” option on all vehicles under 3.5 tonne for drivers aged between 21 and 24, this is an additional extra and will need to be selected on the “Recommended Additional Extras” section on the website or alternatively please call and speak to one of our members of staff and they will be happy to help.

What do I require to drive a 7.5 truck?

The driver must be over 25 years old and have a C1 on their licence. For personal use there is no need for an operator’s license or a CPC card.

All truck rentals for business use MUST have a valid operator’s licence and CPC card.

Is there a security deposit?

No, we don’t take any deposits. This helps our customers save money on upfront costs when hiring a vehicle!

Damage

If you are involved in a road traffic accident you must call out accident hotline within 4 hours on 0800 0324 978.

If a vehicle is returned damaged we may charge your card your pre agreed excess. If the damages are less than your excess we will refund you the difference along with all necessary paperwork. If a third party is at fault and has accepted liability we will also refund your excess.

Third party is at fault

If the vehicle has been damaged by a third party you MUST obtain all the reliant details (full name, vehicle details, contact information, insurance details). It must then be phoned through to the 0800 0324978 within 4 hours of the incident. All damage where a third party is at fault/admits liability will be claimed through their insurance company and will not affect you. In some cases were liability is being questioned we may need to hold your hire excess until liability has been established. Once the third party has accepted liability we will process your excess back to you.

You are at fault

From time to time accidents do happen. If a vehicle is returned with new damage and a third party cannot be held liable, we will get an estimate for the repairs from a repairer of our choosing and charge your card for the repairs up to your agreed excess.

What do I need to place a booking and how can I place a booking?

There are a few ways to place a booking. Online, telephone or via email.  We would recommend placing a booking via telephone so you can speak to our friendly helpful team. Our opening times are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9:00am to 1.00pm. Out of office hours we can be contacted by email.

You will need to advise:

  • Which vehicle you require.
  • The dates and times you need the vehicle from and to.
  • Details of the driver; date of birth, full address, licence number and DVLA share code: www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

If you are hiring for business use we will require full details of the business as well.

Is Insurance included?

Yes, we provide fully comprehensive insurance, but please be aware goods in transit are not included under this cover.

Please also be aware if you select to have discounted costs as you are using company own insurance (COI) we will not be able to provide cover as well.

Do you allow your vehicles to travel in the EU?

Yes, if selected as an additional extra. This would be at an extra cost as we have to provide you with the necessary travel kit and documents. You must select this additional extra and we must be informed when the booking is placed that you require EU cover and to which countries you are traveling through and to.

How do I pay for my booking?

We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment must be upon booking and must be by the main driver. We also accept bank transfers for larger company bookings.

What are the fuel requirements?

Fuel will need to be replaced to the same levels of the rental agreement which is given upon delivery. If fuel is not replaced to the correct levels you could be subject to a fuel charge. Please read ‘charges’ in our terms and conditions for details.

Is there a damage excess?

Yes, please read our terms and conditions for details on excess. You can lower the excess by taking out our Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).

  • Standard excess = £1000 For Cars, Vans and Buses. Reduces to £250 with CDW.
  • 7.5 Tonne vehicles and above = £2000 standard excess. Reduces to £500 with CDW.

Am I able to amend my order once I have placed the booking?

Yes, although after your order has been placed any further amendments to the booking will be subject to an administration charge (please see our terms and conditions).

Can I leave my vehicle at a different address?

Yes, we offer a ‘one way’ hire service as an additional extra. This will need to be discussed with one of our staff members during the booking process. Give us a call on 0333 2074 094.
